Foreign languages

Our school focuses on the studying of foreign languages which is a way of granting the pupils’ academic achievement and their adaptation to every performing education system, either national or international.

The English language is taught intensively, at least 5 hours for each class, which means at least one lesson every day. The majority of clubs and optional subjects are taught by teachers who are English native speakers.

The German and French languages are taught as optional languages, once or twice a week, according to the pupils’ choice.

Learning by cooperation
In teaching foreign languages we use interactive methods due to their efficiency in the fields of communication and fluent speech: role-play, mini role-play, brainstorming, teaching games which stimulate learning through cooperation. The teacher’s role is that of being the child’s partner. We use flashcards and other visual stimuli as well as genuine materials. The Smart Board is used as well as video and audio materials published by Oxford and Cambridge, our school’s partners.
