A message from the president
My view on education is idealistic: I see education as the art of making people better, more enthusiastic, happier. I want what all parents want for their children and what the children wish for themselves as well: to be happy, healthy, to feel that the school they go to is the place where they are accepted, understood and respected, and that their emotional education as well as their physical and cognitive training can ensure their success in any educational system.
The year 2010 has been full of achievements for our school, because we have received the greatest amount of recognition and international acknowledgment so far. Our school has been accepted as a member by the International Schools Association thanks to its high standards and quality of education. Thus, we are the first ISA School in Romania and the second school to be a member of CEESA, the Central and Eastern European Schools Association. We are also an official Anglia Examinations Syndicate (Chichester College) centre, offering the full range of examinations in English.
Following an inspection which took place in October 2010, OGIS was accepted by the most prestigious organization that offers recognition to international schools from Europe, the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), based in Great Britain.
Olga Gudynn International School is also an affiliate member of COBIS (Council of British International Schools) thus ranking alongside the British schools.
Let us go together on the unforgettable SCHOOL journey!
